Old Town Key West
Old Town is the historic district of Key West. It is positioned on the western half of the island, with the exception of the Historic Seaport district. Old Town is also the business hub of Key West and contains the majority of tourist attractions. The famous Duval Street, along with Simonton Street, are located in Old Town. Sloppy Joe’s, The Conch Republic Seafood Company, A&B Marina, Sunset Pier, and Mallory Square, and several other restaurants and bars are located in Old Town.
Because homes in Old Town are within walking or biking distance from many dining establishments, this area is a popular are, making it a great place to buy a home or rental property. There are many homes boasting the signature style of the Keys such as Conch Homes or Eye Brow Houses. A stroll down the block in this area reveals cheery pastel colored homes nestled among palm trees and other tropical foliage. So picturesque that it is not uncommon to spot a painter (hobbyist or professional) with an easel perched on the sidewalk capturing an image of the quaint neighborhood.
Old Town Real Estate is a great investment.
